Mountain Academy in Cabane du Grand- Mountet

I'm back to civilisation after an amazing week up in the hut of Grand- Mountet. With the Mountain Academy team we spent there really good days with perfect weather and did some really nice mountaineering: Blanc de Moming, traverse of the Zinalrothorn (Rotgrat/Nordgrat), Pointe de Zinal and the Besso. We had a lot of fun also around the hut: bouldering, playing UNO, washing hairs in the fountain, stone game and so on and on!

Last events from the student life

On friday 23 we had the "Gala des finalistes" in the Palace Hotel in Lausanne. It was a wounderful evening which started with an apero on the terrace, followed by a very tasty dinner and closured by partying in a club reserved only for us.

Then on saturday we were filming in the hospital of Lausanne/CHUV do to a LipDup to the song  LMFAO-  Party Rock Anthem. Very good memories: click here

"Climbing just makes me happy"

The past week I spend with Selina. We started with a day of sport climbing in Simplondorf, where Selina said after she had climbed the 1st route: "Climbing just makes me happy", with what I completely agree. Then we went further with her super "Büseli" to the Nufenen, where we climbed in Passo Di Mano/ Piansecco an amazing cracky multipitch-route.

On wednesday we were hiking up the Baltschieder-vally towards the Stockhornbivuak. As there is no water anymore, we had to carry all the water up...I can tell you, the rucksack was soooo heavy. After some tasty "Älplermakronen" and some hours of sleep we were heading with beautiful weather towards the south ridge over the 5 tours to the Stockhorn (Baltschieder)...wonderful and solid granite rock!

The next day we were a little tired, so we decided to go sport climbing close to Brig, to Hutmacherkinn.

7-10 September: Lecco/ Italy

I just came back from 4 amazing days in Lecco, a city at the Como Lake in Italy. With Sonja we had a really great "Urlaub" (holiday). We went climbing to the sectors Lariosauro, Campelli , Nibbio and Erna and enjoyed the beach on our super camping Spiaggia. And of course we had to taste the gelatis and pizzas from the region. 

And by the way: I got a lettre today that I passed my written exams!

Yesterday I had my last exam of my medical studies! The definive results we will get only in the beginning of november. So, but what will I do in the coming weeks? As I all the time wanted to take a year of, I'm going to to this now. It will not be exacly a year, but nearly. I will have to go back to work, to real work this time in July 2012, when I will start in Bern, in the Tiefenauspital as a surgical assisant.

But in between I will travel, do some stages in medical field and go to the mountains!

Tomorrow I will start with a few days of climbing, swimming, eating icecream and enjoying life in Italy with my friend Sonja.
