Shit happens!

As you all know I was supposed to leave tomorrow to Tanzania for a medical education and afterwards to go to Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro...but....things changed. On thursday evening I went training and after the training I wanted to walk out of the hall and....twisted my foot. This was not the 1st time and I knew directly what this meant...as I still had hope I went to do x-rays and MRI...but the doctors said that I'll need a cast for at least 2 weeks and that I have to cancel my Kilimanjaro-trip. Tja...shit happens. I will anyway leave tomorrow, with my beloved crutches, and enjoy time in Tanzania.

TMAC- stage 3: ICE CLIMBING in Cogne

WOW...again we spent an amazing week together with TMAC in Cogne, Aostavalley, Italy. Very hard to describe all the magic moments we lived, that's why I'll make it very short:

1st day: all together we went to "Cascade de Lillaz", where we had some briefing, instruction and explanation and then...let's climb!!!

2nd day: "Cascade de Rovenaud", in Valsavarenche

3rd day: Valentinsday Movie: I love Climbing ;-). Today I had the chance to climb with Bojan and Luca: we warmed up on "Tuborg" and cooled down on "Candelabro del Coyote"

4th day: resting day: we were working on our communication projects and just had a lot of fun together: Movie: Rest day

5th day: today Aude and I had the chance to climb with Tim Emmett "Joyeux Noel", next to the bridge of Intro: Movie: Tim and the team. Afterwards all the girls and Luca where heading to "Trip into the night", where we climbed the first pitch and then turned very fast because hug stones were falling down

6th day: half of the group climbed "Lillaz gully" and the other half went to "Patri". As it was the last day of our 3rd stage, we had a big party downtown in Cogne.

Ice: what a beautiful element

The last 2 days I spend in Italy with Luca Blanchet, one of the guides of TMAC2, to go iceclimbing. With perfect weather we were heading towards Cogne, where we climbed the "Cold Couloir", which in fact was not very cold, so that even girls could enjoy it :-) The next day we climbed close to Rhêmes-Notre-Dame. To warm up we did a small icefall just next to the "Sogno Realizzato" and afterwards the "Sogno Realizzato", which was in perfect condition. We found amazing ice-formation and climbed on nice medusa-ice.

Iceclimbing festival in Kandersteg

This weekend took place the Iceclimbing Festival in Kandersteg. My friends convinced/persuaded me to participate. It was a lot of fun. I was already very pround that I could reach the top of the route. The fastest girl needed 1/4 of the time I needed :-). Nikolay reached the 3rd place! Congratulations! And after the finals we enjoyed the legendary party.

Christmas/New Year-Holidays

Happy New Year to everybody!

Like every year I spend the christmas/new year-holidays (yes, real holidays, because I started to work in my father’s practice as a assistant) with all the family in Eischoll, in our chalet in “Wallis”. An amazing time. I did a lot of powedering and alpin and back-country skiing, some iceclimbing and drytooling.
