With my good friend Eliane we had the chance to spend a through-the-week-weekend :-). We drove by car in awesome weather direction to the “piemonte”. We visited Alba, il centro di tartufo, where we puttered around and did some shopping. For sure, I couldn’t miss the gelati. Mhmmm…it was so tasty. Further we went to visit La Morra (amazing view), Barolo (impressive church) and we ended up in Monforte d’Alba. In a very cozy and chic hotel with the view over the vineyard we enjoyed the last rays of the sun. In a typical Italian “osteria” we finished this perfect day. On the way back home we did a first stop-over in Arona, and drove then along the coast of the lago maggiore. Beautiful!
